External visitors are welcome to use the library for reference by booking an appointment in advance.

Enquiries from library colleagues and professionals working with children about child protection and related subjects can be sent to us by email.

The NSPCC Library catalogue is freely available to search via the NSPCC Learning website: nspcc.org.uk/learning
It includes access to grey literature on child protection and safeguarding babies, children and young people; case reviews; and all NSPCC research reports. It also provides bibliograhic details and abstracts of books and research articles from academic journals.

We provide a free weekly current awareness email, CASPAR, to help keep professionals up to date on child protection and safeguarding policy, research and practice developments. Sign up at: nspcc.org.uk/caspar

Collection and Service Information

Our specialist library focuses on child protection, safeguarding and child abuse and neglect. We also hold a specialist collection of case reviews and official inquiry reports on child deaths and child abuse dating back to 1945.
