About our Service

Access Policy

Free library membership is open to: employees, volunteers and bank staff of Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and students on placement, MLCSU staff, inpatients at Moseley Hall Hospital, and Moor Green clients. Those not eligible for free membership can join as an external member for an annual fee of £50.

Collection and Service Information

The library specialises in geriatric medicine and rehabilitation, and also covers general areas of medicine, nursing and health. The collection covers topics outside health and medicine too, including computing skills, management, and general work skills. Special collections include fiction; reminiscence; leisure CDs and DVDs; resources for brain injury survivors; and a selection of titles to support international recruits.

The library has two study desks, accommodating up to 8 people, and one desktop computer.

All library members can use our document request service - email us with details of any books or journal articles you require.

A literature search service is available to BCHC staff - contact us with your search details.
