Health Library & Information Services Directory
The library is normally staffed Mon-Fri: 09:00 - 17:00. Outside these hours you can swipe in with your BCHC ID badge, and a self-issue machine is available.
A hotdesking room is open 24/7 to those with network access.
Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (MLCSU)
Free library membership is open to: employees, volunteers and bank staff of Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and students on placement, MLCSU staff, and patients at Moseley Hall Hospital. Those not eligible for free membership can join as an external member for an annual fee of £50.
Over 1400 books specialising in geriatric medicine and rehabilitation, and also general areas of medicine, nursing and health. The collection covers topics outside health and medicine too, including material on computing skills, management, sociology, and general work skills. Special collections include Fiction; Wellbeing; Reminiscence; and leisure CDs and DVDs.
In addition, we have a camcorder, laptops, projector and screen for loan..
The library has two study desks, accommodating up to 8 people. The hotdesking room has 6 computers with internet access and access to software for presentations, word processing and spreadsheeting.
MIDS-BCHC
Library fully accessible to prams and wheelchairs via the main entrance. Hotdesking room is on the first floor immediately above the ground floor main library. It is accessible by lift.
