How do I find the library service I’m looking for?

You can find a library or information service in a number of ways by browsing through the A to Z Browse lists for libraries and networks, by searching by library name or postcode in the centre search box, or by searching for any information (e.g. library name, town, county, specialisms) in the main site search on the right of the screen.

How do I find a library contact?

You can find colleagues and key library contacts within the directory, by browsing the A to Z Contacts list, or by searching for first name/surname in the centre search box and selecting the ‘contact’ option or by searching for any information (e.g. library name, town, county, specialisms) in the main site search on the right of the screen.

I can’t find the library I’m looking for through any of the search methods?

Contact the HLISD Administrator of new entries required and these will added to the database.

A service I have looked at is out of date.

Contact the HLISD Administrator who will deal with your enquiry to update this entry.

How do I make suggestions for improvements to the site?

Send your suggestion to HLISD Tech Support with your suggestions. All suggestions and comments for enhancements and development of the HLISD site will be logged and discussed by the HLISD Service Board with regards to future development.

When I search for a library by library code no results are found.

The search box on the right side of the homepage is a keyword search, so will pick up any text for a field that has been included in this search. This is the search box to use for searching for library codes. The search box in the middle of the homepage will pick up the library by name, the contact by name or the post code search terms only.
